We're engineers, designers, and problem-solvers based in Addis Ababa. We started Recite Labs because we believed Ethiopian businesses deserve world-class software — and the world deserves to see what Ethiopian technologists can build.

Our story

Born from a gap we couldn't ignore.

Too many businesses in Ethiopia were stuck with software that didn't fit — expensive, inflexible, and built by teams who didn't understand the local context. We started Recite Labs to close that gap. To build software that actually works for the people using it.

Kibru leads product architecture, infrastructure strategy, and engineering at Recite Labs. With deep experience in Laravel, Golang, AWS, and modern web stacks, he ensures technical excellence across all our projects.

Helen Birhane, MD

Operational Manager, Cofounder

Helen brings a rare combination of clinical insight and product intuition. She co-founded Recite Labs to bridge healthcare, education, and technology and leads our internal operations, health-related innovation, and stakeholder relations.

Elias Ayele

Mobile Development Lead

A seasoned mobile developer with over 5 years of experience, Elias leads our mobile efforts across iOS and cross-platform apps. He’s delivered high-impact apps for Triller, 2F Capital, and others ... now shaping mobile experiences at Recite Labs.

Heran Tesegaye

Senior Full-Stack Developer

Heran is a versatile engineer with a strong track record building enterprise platforms. From public health systems to real estate tools, she brings deep experience across React, Next.js, Laravel, NestJS, and data visualization.

Eyob Teshome

Junior Full-Stack Developer

Eyob focuses on React, Node.js, and Laravel-based applications. He has developed end-to-end platforms for digital marketplaces and personal finance tools, with strong attention to UI detail and performance.
